Nicole Dorfan, Ph.D., R.Psych.

Dr. Dorfan, a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry, is a psychologist who practices at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, BC. Her expertise is in the area of group and individual cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety and mood disorders. She supervises psychiatry residents and psychology graduate students, and leads a monthly psychotherapy rounds series at RCH. Dr. Dorfan has been actively involved in research of anxiety disorders for the past ten years. Areas of particular interest include obsessive compulsive disorder and treatment-outcome of cognitive behavioral therapy for a range of anxiety and mood disorders. Prior research focused on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social phobia.
