Dr. Kroeker is the director of psychiatric services at UBC Student Health. He has a background in biological psychiatry, with a subspecialty fellowship in mood disorders research. He uses a broad range of therapeutic styles, with strong influences from cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic theories. Aside from helping with symptom relief, his emphasis is on helping each patient develop a sense of meaning, accomplishment, commitment, confidence, and stability. Dr. Kroeker also supervises and teaches psychiatry residents, who are welcome to do elective rotations at Student Health.
